About the Author
At age 18, having never so much as boarded an airplane, I packed my bags and embarked on a 13-hour flight from salty, sandy Southern California to my first love, New Zealand.
It changed everything.
That fateful summer opened my eyes not only to the world, but to another way of life. I had a taste of adventure and I wanted more – everything this world has to offer.
Over the last 10 years I’ve made this dream a reality, filling my passport with more than 30 stamps and my travel journals with more than a million (mis)adventures. I believe in slow, intentional travel, which has allowed me to live and work in several countries within Asia, Europe and the Carribean.
For the last six years, I’ve been primarily based out of Spain, first Madrid and later the Canary Islands off the coast of Morocco. Today you can find me living, teaching, eating, writing, photographing and of course, getting lost in Gran Canaria. Tomorrow… who knows?
